The article presents a system for fungicidal and insecticidal protection of corn cobs and its influence on the intensity of development of major diseases and the spread of harmful organisms. The main attention is focused on the most common and harmful diseases of the crop, in particular Fusarium, the causative agents of which are representatives of the genus Fusarium (in particular Fusarium moniliforme J. Sheld. and others), diplodia (Diplodia zeae Lev.), blister sooty mold (Ustilago zeae (Beckm.) Unger.), as well as bacterial lesions caused by Bacillus mesentericus pv. vulgatus. In addition to the analysis of diseases, the work also considers the issue of the spread and harmfulness of the main phytophagous of corn, among which the cotton bollworm, the corn borer, and wireworms are of particular danger. The assessment of the effectiveness of protective measures was carried out taking into account the specific weather conditions in 2024 and 2025, which significantly influenced both the development of pathogens and the dynamics of pest numbers. It was established that the complex use of fungicides and insecticides, combined with climatic factors, is an important component of an integrated corn protection system. This approach allows you to reduce the level of damage to the corn cobs, limit the spread of pests and, as a result, ensure the preservation of yield and improve the quality of grain in conditions of changeable weather
