REQUIREMENTS FOR FORMATTING AND PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING PUBLICATIONS FOR PUBLICATION

We recommend that you review the About the Journal page for the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines.

To register on the journal's website, authors need to submit an application (in any format) to the email panakhyd-galia@isgkr.science or panakhyd-galia@ukr.net. If you are already registered, simply log in to the website and follow the 5 steps to submit your manuscript for review.

Materials for article publication can be sent to panakhyd-galia@isgkr.science or panakhyd-galia@ukr.net.

For your article to be considered for review, you must submit:

  • An article file formatted in MS Word text editor using the template in Ukrainian or English. File naming rules: use the surname of the first author in Latin letters (e.g., Ivanenko.docx);
  • A scanned copyright agreement in PDF format previously signed by all authors;
  • IF APPLICABLE, a scanned conflict of interest statement in PDF format previously signed by all authors in case of conflict of interest.

"Foothill and Mountain Agriculture and Animal Husbandry" is an interdepartmental thematic scientific collection on: crop production, agriculture, feed production, agrochemistry, plant breeding, seed production, plant protection, physiology, biochemistry, animal feeding, nutrition, breeding and animal selection.

"Foothill and Mountain Agriculture and Animal Husbandry" is an open-access scientific print and online publication that publishes materials under Creative Commons license terms. All published content is available on the journal's website and can be used and distributed free of charge. The journal does not charge authors any publication fees.

All manuscripts undergo verification before publication in "Foothill and Mountain Agriculture and Animal Husbandry" to prevent borrowing of text portions from open sources on the Internet.

 

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION PROCESS

How to submit a manuscript. After preparing materials written according to these guidelines, manuscripts should be submitted online in the SUBMISSION section, or to the email address: panakhyd-galia@ukr.net.

File naming rules: Use the surname of the first author in Latin letters (e.g., Ivanenko.docx).

 

TYPES OF PUBLICATIONS

Original Research Articles

The journal publishes articles containing results of original research that have not been previously published or are not under consideration elsewhere. The volume of an original research article should not exceed 20 pages.

Review Articles

Review articles contain a contemporary overview of a specific problem or field in which the author is preferably actively working. The usual division into "materials and methods, results and discussion" may be replaced with a more individualized structure. The volume of a review article should not exceed 25 pages.

 

MANUSCRIPT FORMAT AND STRUCTURE

For correct article submission, we recommend using the TEMPLATE.

General formatting requirements

• Page format: A4 (210 mm × 297 mm) • Margins: top and bottom – 2.5 cm, left and right – 2.0 cm • Orientation: portrait only • File format: .doc/.docx (Microsoft Word) • Layout: single column • Line spacing: single • Font: Times New Roman, 12pt for the entire article (except title page) • Paragraph indent: 1 cm • Language: mixed languages (Ukrainian and English)

Note: The use of condensed or expanded fonts, automatic numbering, or hyphenation is not allowed. Latin names should be italicized. Use impersonal writing style.

 

TITLE PAGE REQUIREMENTS

The title page must contain: • Publication type • UDC index • Article title (bold font, 14pt, maximum 20 words) • Authors' initials and surnames (12pt) • Bilingual information table (Ukrainian and English, 10pt) including: • Institution name(s) and postal address • Author information: full name and SURNAME, academic degree, ORCID • Funding information

 

ABSTRACT AND KEYWORDS

Abstract requirements:

• Maximum 250 words • Written as continuous text in one paragraph • No references • For articles in Ukrainian: Ukrainian abstract + English title and abstract • For articles in English: English abstract + Ukrainian title and abstract

Keywords: 5-10 words or phrases

 

MAIN TEXT STRUCTURE

The main text must include the following sections (section titles in bold):

Introduction

• Reveal the essence and state of the scientific problem • Justify the relevance and importance of the research • Analyze recent research and publications related to the problem • Identify previously unresolved aspects of the general problem • Clearly formulate the research objective (maximum 3 sources per citation)

Materials and methods

• Describe ethical aspects (especially for animal studies) • Detail the main methods and methodologies • Specify the research location • Indicate statistical processing methods

Results and discussion

• Present the main findings and research results • Include personal ideas and analysis of factual material • Compare with contemporary data • Discuss results with references to similar studies • Compare results with previously published data (maximum 3 sources per citation)

Conclusions

• Present conclusions sequentially, clearly and logically • Correspond to stated objectives • Contain scientific novelty • Do not number conclusions

Figures and tables

• All figures and tables must be placed in the text after their first reference • Sequential numbering in order of appearance • Provide brief descriptive titles • Do not duplicate data between figures and tables • Font size in tables/figures may be smaller than 12pt if necessary • Table notes should be placed below the table (10pt font) • All symbols and abbreviations must be defined in table notes • Width must correspond to text boundaries or be smaller • Center-align all figures and tables • Titles in bold font, justified alignment

Units of measurement and statistical notation

• Use the International System of Units (SI) • Agricultural units are acceptable (hectare, year, degree Celsius, liter) • Statistical significance: P < 0.05, P < 0.01, P < 0.001 • In tables, mark significance levels as *, **, ***

 

REFERENCE LIST

Formatting requirements

• Format according to DSTU 8302:2015 • Arrange alphabetically • Uniform formatting for all sources • Minimum 20 references for original articles • Minimum 50 references for review articles • Primarily cite recent sources (last 10 years) • 50% from international scientometric databases • Maximum 2 self-citations

In-text citations

• Mandatory references to literature sources • Use square brackets for source numbers [1] • Automatic numbering is prohibited

Reference list in English

For Ukrainian sources, provide transliteration using: • Ukrainian: https://www.slovnyk.ua/translit.php or http://translit.kh.ua/ • Follow Ukrainian passport standard transliteration rules

PUBLICATION TIMELINE

After receiving a reviewed manuscript, authors must review the text and return it to the editorial office within one month.
