INFLUENCE OF VARIETAL CHARACTERISTICS ON THE FORMATION OF PRODUCTIVITY OF SOFT SPRING WHEAT

Abstract

Soft wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is considered the most widespread cereal crop in the world. It is one of the most important agricultural crops and serves as a primary source of carbohydrates and proteins for human nutrition. Products derived from wheat are widely used and occupy a significant place in the human diet. A stabilizing factor in grain production is modern soft spring wheat varieties, which are characterized by valuable agronomic traits and a high genetic yield potential. This article presents the results of studies on the formation of soft spring wheat yield depending on varietal characteristics. The research was conducted during 2024–2025 on the experimental field of Sumy National Agrarian University. The object of the study included the following varieties: Trizo, Grenni, MIP Vesnianka, and Quintus. According to the research results, the yield of soft spring wheat in the studied varieties ranged from 4.46 to 5.48 t/ha. The highest yield was recorded for the Quintus variety (5.48 t/ha), while the lowest was observed for the Trizo variety (4.46 t/ha). In the Grenni and MIP Vesnianka varieties, this indicator amounted to 4.83 and 5.18 t/ha, respectively
