Abstract

The article presents the results of experimental studies of the influence of the composition of sown grasslands on the density and dynamics of the botanical composition. It was established that the highest percentage of legumes – 86% – was observed on the variant with meadow timothy, red clover, alfalfa and birdsfoot trefoil. Among the two-component grass mixtures, the variant with meadow timothy and alfalfa had the largest share of grasses and made up 47%. On average, the percentage of legumes varied between 50-69% in the first mowe, 61-86% in the second and 48–74% in the third. The percentage of grasses in the first mowe was 30-89%, in the second – 12-86%, in the third – 21-84%. Forbs, although they appeared, were suppressed by sown grasses and occupied an insignificant share. On average, the percentage of forbs on the sown grass stands ranged from 1-11% in the first mowe, to 2-14% in the second, and 4–16% in the third. The density of legume-grass vegetation was within 1154-1994 pcs./m2 in the first mowe, 876-2111 pcs./m2 in the second and 617-1929 pcs./m2 in the third
