Abstract

Beekeeping is one of the promising branches of agricultural production, which provides production of honey, bee pollen, royal jelly, homogenate of drone larvae, wax and propolis, as well as providing farms with full-fledged breeding material. The beekeeping industry plays an important role in pollinating plants and increasing crop production. The article provides information on the composition and properties of bee pollen, which is a unique product of beekeeping, due to its high content of carbohydrates and proteins, as well as the presence of essential and non-essential amino acids, fatty acids, vitamins, macro-and micronutrients. The results of the research on the formation of bee pollen reserves in the nests of bee colonies are analyzed and the factors of increasing its production are substantiated. The article systematizes research on the effectiveness of the bee pollen on brood production, bee activity and productivity. Data on the prospects for the use of the bee pollen in human nutrition, treatment and prevention of diseases of various etiologies. It is scientifically substantiated that due to its physical and chemical properties, bee pollen is used quite effectively in the field of beekeeping, as well as in folk medicine, cosmetics and food industry
