Abstract

It was established that in bee pollen, abdominal tissues of honey bees and in freshly built bee combs the content of heavy metals increases. At the same time, in the above direction, the coefficients of transition of Ferrum, Zinc, Copper, Chromium, Nickel, and especially Lead and Cadmium from bee pollen to bee combs increase strongly; Ferrum, Zinc, Cobalt, Nicol and especially Lead and Cadmium from abdominal tissues. The high level of heavy metals in bee combs obtained from beehives located in the foothills and especially forest-steppe areas of the Carpathian region is a consequence of their urbanization and industrialization. The content of heavy metals in freshly built bee combs can serve as an indicator of technogenic pollution of the territory
